Lauren Maul is Cindy Sunday, an infertile fundamentalist Christian lecturer, in this awkward but funny evening combining sketches and improvisation. The production is a spin-off of the local satire Best Church of God--in which Cindy shows up as the choir director--and several BCOG players make cameos. Maul is courageously, almost frighteningly committed to Cindy, a sickly sweet, patronizing speaker who leads the audience in stupid songs, orchestrates bizarre puppet shows, compels people to shove suggestions into her pink box, and banishes menstruating audience members to a "Red Menses Tent of Shame." We learn she has an online degree and an unloving father, but I'd love more backstory on this campy creation. --Ryan Hubbard

I prayed, I sang, I testified, I revelated, I ate sweet baked goods, and I had a really fun time. Going to bring my parents to this next week, this is the kind of religion they need to hear.
