Michael Martin's merrily damning series features staged readings of the private conversations of public figures. It's been a few years since the last installment appeared in Chicago, but boy, did Martin pick a good time to bring it back. Given the recent caught-on-tape remarks of such notables as Christian Bale, Pastor Ted Haggard, Prince Harry, and, of course, former governor Rod Blagojevich, we seem to have entered the golden age of surreptitiously recorded stupidity. Martin's round-up mixes new offenders in with some old favorites--Richard Nixon rhapsodizing on
Brian's Song, Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp deciding whether a blow job counts as sex, Prince Charles and Camilla cooing icky sweet nothings. Sure it's trash, but just try to resist. Part of the
Rhinoceros Theater Festival. --Zac Thompson
